Harrington MVC with Entrapment

On Monday July 27, 2026 at 1857 hours the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies, Houston Fire Company EMS, Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with reported entrapment on South DuPont Hwy. in the area of Williamsville Rd. The Station was staffed with three crews due to the Delaware State Fair and responded quickly.   Units arrived on scene and reported a two-vehicle accident with four patients and confirmed entrapment.  Three of the patients were able to get out of the vehicles and one patient was trapped.  The trapped patient was extricated in approximately 25 minutes.  Two patients were transported BLS by ambulance and two patients were transported ALS by ambulance.  All aviation units were unable to fly due to incoming inclement weather.  Both vehicles were checked for hazards, and the scene was placed under control.  The scene was then turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, Car 50, Ambulances A-50, C-50 and B-52, Rescue 50, Rescue 47, Engines 50-1, 50-5, 47-4, Harrington PD, DSP, Del-Dot and Fire Police.  OFFICER IN CHARGE:  Deputy Chief Robbie Brode.
