MVC with Entrapment in Harrington

On Sunday March 29, 2026 at 1742 hrs. the Harrington and Farmington Fire Companies along with Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment on South Dupont Hwy. south of the Fairgrounds. Units arrived on scene and found a SUV had left the roadway, struck a tree and flipped on its side. Crews also confirmed one patient was trapped in the vehicle. Crews stabilized the vehicle and extricated the subject in approx. 10 minutes. The injured subject was treated and packaged by EMS Crews and transported to a local hospital for treatment. DSP Aviation units (Trooper 2 and Trooper 4) were cancelled prior to arrival. The scene was then placed under control and all units cleared the scene. The scene was then turned over to the Delaware State Police for further investigation. UNITS ON SCENE: Chief Vehicle, Ambulances A-50 and D-50, Rescue 50, Rescue 47, Engines 50-1, 50-5, 47-4, Brush 50, Traffic Control 47-7, KM-5, KM-8, KM-10, DSP Patrol Units and Fire Police.
