Assist with Structure Fire -Greenwood

On Monday November 13, 2023 at 8:10 pm the Harrington Fire Company and several surrounding companies were dispatched to assist the Greenwood Fire Company with a working commercial structure fire on First St. in Greenwood.  Units arrived on scene and found fire showing from the single story commercial structure.  A second alarm was struck bringing in additional units and units operated on scene for approximately 2 hours before the fire was brought under control.  The Harrington Fire Company responded with Tower 50, Tanker 50, Engine 50-4 and Utility 50-8.  The Farmington, Houston, Ellendale, Carlisle (Milford), Seaford and Bridgeville Fire Companies along with Sussex County EMS also assisted.  The fire is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office.   The Frederica and Felton Fire Companies stood by at the Harrington Fire Co. and covered Harrington and surrounding districts until units cleared the scene.
