MVC with Entrapment - Whitelysburg Rd

On Thursday November 14, 2019 at 22:49 hours the Harrington Fire Company, Felton Fire Co. for the Rescue Assist, Kent County EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation was dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment in the 7900 Block of Whitelysburg Rd.   Upon arrival firefighters found a pick-up truck on its side with one subject partially ejected and trapped underneath the vehicle.  Firefighters worked for approximately 40 minutes to free the trapped driver.  After the driver was extricated he was transported by DSP Trooper 2 to Christiana Hospital with Serious Injuries.  The scene was then turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.  UNITS ON SCENE:  50 Command, B-50, Rescue 50, Rescue/Engine 48-1, 50-5, KM-8, KM-5, DSP Trooper 2, Harrington PD, Fire Police and Del-Dot.
